Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is a mother of Russian origin who is born in Afghanistan. Mahendru is fluent in German Russian English, French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru, born in India, to a Russian father as well as an Indian mother, speaks fluently in both languages. The year 2011, the actress developed an original choreography, which earned her the privilege of appearing on German TV as an Russian snowmaiden, who then transformed into another Indian dancer. Following her graduation from the requirements for high school at the age of 11 in New York, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. John's University. In college, she attended acting classes at the HB Studio, but she quit to pursue improvisation classes in the Groundlings School taking on several comedy-related projects afterward. Her birthplace was in Kabul Afghanistan to a Hindu-Indian father Ghanshan Ken Mahendru, and the Russian mom Olga. At the age of 13, her parents divorced. Her father moved the household to East Meadow New York. Her role on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is her most notable TV performance. Her other roles included recurring ones in The Following, a Fox show The Following as well as NBC's The Blacklist.
